The Spartan boys tennis team ran their season record to 15-3 and earned their way into the MSHSL Class A tournament by defeating Mounds Park Academy by a score of 5-2.

Seventh grader Winston Arvidson’s win at three singles got the Spartans rolling and three consecutive wins in doubles paved SPA’s way to State.

Juniors Leo Benson and Maik Nguyen took one doubles, sophomores Jacob Colton and Ben Macedo recorded the victory at two doubles and the team of ninth grader Allan Wang and eighth grader Isaak Senaratna secured the Spartan victory.

MPA is led by senior Evan Fraser, the states number one rated Class A player.

SPA topped the Panthers earlier this spring 5-2 with one of the MPA wins coming at #1 singles.
