2024 Highlights
The Girls’ Golf team saw significant growth this year, with enough members to form both, a Varsity and Junior Varsity team. A major milestone for the program!
The Breck match at Brookview Golf Course was a season highlight with both teams playing simultaneously. The Varsity team played on the regulation course, while the Junior Varsity team played on the 9-hole course. The JV girls won their match! In the post-season, Peony Steele ‘27 and Alyda Overgaard ‘28 advanced to the second round of the section tournament. Notably, Peony finished 18th overall and achieved a new low score of 92! At the CAA MS Golf Championship, Alyda tied for first place in the girls’ division!

Under second-year Head Coach Angie Kritta, the team improved in every competition over the course of the season, and ended the regular season by hosting the first-ever SPA girls’ invitational tournament at Somerset. In postseason play, Nikola Barkwell ’23, Audrey Peltier ’27, Millie Farrington ’26, Alyda Overgaard ’28, and Peony Steele ’27 all advanced to the second round of section competition after shooting 94, 94, 102, 102, and 102 respectively.
